Veronica Valderrama

Veronica is a professional ballet dancer and teaches ballet classes for all ages in the Bega Valley.


Veronica was born in La Plata, Buenos Aires. She started dance lessons at the age of six and at fifteen was admitted to the Instituto Superior de Arte, Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires. She danced with the Teatro Colón Company and in 1997 she began a twelve years stay with the National Mexican Ballet in Mexico City as a soloist and a member of the corps de ballet. From this experience Veronica developed an extensive repertoire that includes: Don Quixote, Swan Lake, Eugenio Onegin, Graduation Ball, The Nutcracker, Les Sylphides, Coppelia, Fragmentarios (Neoclassical), Le Bayadere, Sleeping Beauty, La fille mal gardee, Dionaea, La Syphide, Raymonda (Suite), Carmina Burana, Contemporary Tango Ballet, Esquina Bajan - a theatrical homage to pre 1940s Latin dance styles.

After finishing her career in 2009 she moved to Australia and now brings her passion and art to the Far South Coast of NSW.

Since arriving in Australia Veronica has taught ballet using Ceccetti, British Ballet Organization (BBO) and Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) systems at all levels. She also provides individual classes to students who are interested in pursuing a professional ballet career or those looking to study dance at a tertiary level.

As well as the deep experience that Veronica brings to her teaching she is a motivational force that will take your dance to a higher level in expression and technique.
